November Favourites

Afternoon :)

I've got so many favourite products this month! I guess technically some of them are cheats as I've only acquired them in the last week or so but they've firmly wormed their way in to my daily routine :D

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Foundation - This has to be the first foundation I've picked up that matches my exact skin tone!

Eyeko Extra Glow Cream - I mixed this with my previous foundation on good skin days to give a gorgeous dewy glow

NYX Cream Blush in Glow - I wasn't sure about cream blushes to start with, but as I've been using it more and more, I've fallen in love with it!

Sleek Rose Gold Blush - I don't think words can describe how beautiful this blush is!

Eyeko Toffee Fat Balm - Smells gorgeous, tastes pretty good and is amazing on lips and cheeks. I absolutely adore it - this is definitely one to be picked up! If you fancy snapping this fabulous product up, skip over to Eyeko and enter E8493 in the comments box to receive a free gift on purchases over £15!

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Liner in Pow! - So, so gorgeous and highly pigmented. A total must have!

Benefit Eye Bright - I always use this to make me look more awake. 5 hours sleep? Meh you'll never be able to tell ;)

Body Shop Delipscious Lipstick in Raspberry - Smells gorgeous, moisturises, hydrates and shines. My current favourite lippie!

e.l.f. Studio Cream Liner in Copper - This is the most beautiful cream liner I've ever seen. Looks fantastic if you have blue eyes like me!

MAC Brule Shadow - My favourite neutral shadow

17 Starry Eyes trio in Moondust - I used this in my FOTD on Sunday, and a further FOTD post will be up in a few days so you can see how gorgeous this trio is!

17 Wild Curls Mascara - LOVE. That is all.

e.l.f. nail polishes in Metal Madness and Twinkle - Metal madness is a gorgeous gunmetal grey colour with micro glitter in it. Twinkle is a sparkly top coat with green, blue and copper/gold glitter in. Both are matte and look brilliant with or without a topcoat. And they don't chip like normal matte polishes do.

Primark Glo Baby Glo nail polish in Midnight Majestic - It was love at first sight, and for £2 I couldn't say no. Such an amazing colour and perfect for Winter.

My 'No Make Up' Make Up FOTD

Afternoon kids :)

Did that title make sense? I can't decide.

Last week I received Benefit's Confessions of a Concealaholic for my birthday. I was eager to try it as it had a number of products in that I wanted to try without buying the full sized versions in case I didn't like them etc.

On a side note, do Benefit give samples out? Every time I've been to Benefit counters, they've always said they don't, but I've seen some people manage to get them. How does that work? FYI Benefit Babes, I'm more likely to go back and buy the full size if you give me a sample and I like it. So go figure.

Anyway, I tried out everything in the set and was amazed at what a difference these products make!

Products used

♥ Benefit That Gal Primer

♥ Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Foundation in Light Beige (This was the lightest shade on the shelf - no idea if they go any lighter - and it matches my skin perfectly! And it's more purse friendly. Win!)

♥ Benefit Erase Paste - under my eyes

♥ Benefit Boi-ing #01 - under my eyes and on blemishes

♥ Benefit Eye Bright - inside corner of the eye and on the waterline

♥ Eyeko Toffee Fat Balm on lips and cheeks - I am in LOVE with this, you girls need it in your life! Whisper loves the smell of it and wouldn't stop sniffing my face which was quite hilarious!

♥ e.l.f. Studio Brow Kit in Dark

♥ Benefit Lemon Aid Eye Primer - on the eye lids

♥ MAC Brûlé  - all over my eye

♥ Eyeko Magic Mascara

Et voila!

There will be a review of Confessions of a Concealaholic coming soon :)

I can see this turning into an expensive Benefit habit. Uh oh!

Not the most spectacular colour I've ever seen, but a lovely colour nonetheless. I hear China Glaze re-release this fairly often with a new name I'm sure you'll be able to track it down if you so desire :)

Sunday Sillyness

Afternoon kids :)

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that in the early hours of Saturday morning, we were blessed with snow :D

This of course brought out my inner child...

This is my sister's classic mini, which she fondly calls 'The Beast'.

Someone else decided to get in on the action too...

Poor old Whisper doesn't like snow! This is her travel method of choice by the way. Piggyback. Poor old Dad haha.

I've been listening to this non-stop all week and I absolutely love it!

If you're a Pink fan, you need this in your life :D

I was playing around with a couple of the items Leanne got me for my birthday and came up with this:

Looks so much better in reality but hey ho. I used 17's Moondust Trio, Collection 2000's Glam Crystal Liner in #3 Funk, Benefit Eye Bright and Eyeko's Magic Mascara. Simple, easy and quick!

Have you been frolicking around in the snow this weekend? Are you a cat owner? What funny antics do your furry felines get up to?

Review: Sleek Rose Gold Blush

Morning sunbeams :D

I was lucky enough to win one of Ashlie's giveaways a few weeks ago, and one of the products that she sent me was Sleek's Rose Gold Blush. I was absolutely chuffed to bits to win this as I hadn't been able to track down this anywhere! I'm guessing this is because it's been called a dupe for Nars Orgasm. So a huge thank you to Ashlie :D

Product

Sleek sayA highly pigmented blusher to brighten and define cheekbones. The silky-fine formulation provides long lasting blusher which helps to create a subtle but radiant cheek area.

I say: I was wowed the moment I opened the lid (which took a mighty long time to open I'll add). Rose Gold is such a gorgeous colour. It looks peachy with a beautiful gold sheen. It's well pigmented and gives a lovely warm glow to the cheeks which lasts all day.

Application

Sleek sayApply using a small powder/blusher brush, by swirling the brush over the surface of the blusher. Tap off excess powder and apply onto the apples of the cheeks to emphasise your cheeks and your smile, or just below the cheek bone to create a sculpted look.

I say: I use the e.l.f. Studio Blush brush to apply and I apply the blush across my cheeks and slightly up towards the very top of where my cheekbones start. I'm left with a gorgeous looking warm complexion with a beautiful gold sheen. If there's one thing you buy from Sleek this year, make it this!

Review: e.l.f. Studio Small Angled Brush

Morning my lovelies :)

On the look out for the perfect eye liner brush? Keep reading!

Product

e.l.f. sayThis new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush! Creates precise color application. Creates even, thin and straight lines every time. Use to apply lip color, eyebrow color, or to line eyes.

I say: I ordered this to try because the brushes that came with the Studio Cream Eyeliners were all bent and squished. I've been using this exclusively with the cream liners and can say that it's a great brush. I prefer this to my GOSH angled liner brush as it's smaller and perfect for creating the perfect lined upper lash line. I'll be ordering a few more for my other liners!

Application

e.l.f. sayDip brush into color and apply to desired location, then blend in using straight strokes.

I say: As with all e.l.f. Studio brushes, I love the material they're made from as they don't absorb product which is brilliant. This particular brush is small and soft yet firm, and therefore perfect for applying cream liner as it's easy on the delicate upper eye area especially when it comes to blending/smudging etc.

NOTD: Illamasqua Scarab

Good morning crumpets :)

What feels like absolutely ages ago, I made a small, but rather expensive by my standards, order with Illamasqua. In my defence I did have a 25% discount code! I spent ages, hours actually, trying to decide between Scarab and Viridian from the Art of Darkness nail polish collection. I'd heard that Barry M's Racing Green was a supposed dupe for Viridian, and I rarely wear green polishes anyway, so I decided to buy Scarab as it looked absolutely gorgeous and there were no dupes that I'd heard of.

So Scarab ended up in my online basket. Less than 48 hours it was here - kudos to Illamasqua for uber quick DHL delivery :D - and I couldn't wait to try it out.

Et voila...

*Natural light*

*Flash*

*Sunlight*

Isn't it just gorgeous?!

I know it's a bit pricey for some at £13.00 but it truly is a lovely colour :D And perfect for Autumn/Winter. Or at least that's my justification ;)
