Small e.l.f. haul

Hello :)

I recently made an e.l.f. order after they announced that they'd finally had a restock. I picked up a few new products to try, and a couple of things that had been out of stock for ages.

See, told you it was modest! Not a lot took my fancy to be honest. Looking forward to the new products towards the end of the year :)

NOTD: Accessorize Pink Spice

Morning lovelies!

I mentioned in my Meadowhall post that I'd finally tracked down Pink Spice. I wasted no time in trying it out straight away :) This is a bit of a photo heavy post. And this is the final narrowed down selection of photos haha!

This polish is an absolute gem. Whilst it needs 3 coats, I could not be more pleased with the finish. Despite containing glitter, it has a smooth, incredibly shiny duochrome finish. I had it on for 5 days before I got the slightest indication of tip wear, although I did use a topcoat. Saying that after 7 days, you could only see the tip wear if you looked really close. Winner!

Purchase of the week

Hello possums :)

Recently I was debating ordering a MAC Pro Palette so I could start ordering things in pan form and hopefully save space. 

However, Lily of Beauty's Bad Habit mentioned that there was a seller on Etsy who was selling custom made palettes. 10 minutes later, and I had ordered one! I went for a purple toned palette as my room has a purple theme to it :)

I bought this from Another Soul and you can find the listing here, however they have so many designs for sale! Well worth checking out if you're in the market for a palette.

Now, you may be wondering is it worth ordering? Well my friends, I say yes. The Etsy palette is incredibly well made and absolutely beautiful. But not only that, I have some interesting facts and figures for you!

A MAC Pro Palette holds 15 MAC shadow pans. They retail for £11.50 + £2.99 from the MAC website making that a total of £14.49 (if you order it online of course).

The customised Etsy palette holds 20 MAC shadow pans. They retail for £8.18 at time of writing + £5.04 shipping to the UK (mine arrived 7 days after it was shipped) making that a total of £13.22. 

There's a full breakdown of the types and sizes of pans that will fit, including brands mentioned on the Etsy listings.

So not only do you get a bigger, prettier, palette, you save a bit of cash too. Win!

My Meadowhaul

Please excuse the pun title ;)

I popped to Meadowhall recently as I'd decided to treat myself. Luckily for me when I arrived it was sale central! I picked up a few bargains as well as a few impulse buys and also bought some cosmetics that I'd been meaning to try for ages.

Cosmetics

I know I'm a bit late to the party with most of these, but I had a look at the Topshop make up and came away with two of their cream blushes in Neon Rose and Flush, and the famous Show Off lipstick that a lot of bloggers have been raving about. I also finally found Accessorize's Pink Spice nail polish and I also picked up Merged Baked Blusher in Scandal.

I also popped into Debenhams and made a beeline for the MAC counter, so I had a good swatch of some products and I came away with MAC Plink! Lipstick which is a lovely Lustre finish.

Other Stuff

I primarily went into Accessorize to have a good old rummage through their sale. 

I'd been lusting after this blue and white bag for months and I was surprised to see it still in store. On closer inspection I saw it had been marked down from £40 to £17.50. I had to snap it up!

I also saw this beautiful purple bag. I love purple at the moment and when I saw this had been reduced from £28 to £20 I thought I'd nab it as well. I later realised when I left the store that I'd only been charged £14 for it. Win!

I was walking past Evans when I saw a shoe stand outside full of knockdown shoes from a fiver. I saw these beautiful purple shoe boots and wasted no time in trying them on and purchasing. Perfect for my pain in the bum wide feet, and they're so comfy too! I saw the scarf by the till and it was a ridiculously cheap price and as I hadn't found a leopard print scarf that I liked, I also got this too.

Finally, I nipped into New Look as I'm in need of a few more casual tops and I came across this Tee which I couldn't resist. It's me all over right? ;)

I am way too excited about posting this! I was browsing Tumblr the other night when I saw that Bicky had reblogged this post. I immediately checked out the blog the image was taken from. Jane has to be one of the most talented nail bloggers that I've come across in a while! I had a look at her tutorials and came across the 'Mummy tape mani' which I just had to recreate!

Et voila!

I am so pleased with how this came out! I cannot stop looking at my nails!
