NOTD: Leopard Print With A Glitter Tip

Hello my dears!!

At the beginning of last week, I was checking out my Tumblr dash and found this gorgeous mani that I reblogged here. I decided it would be cool to try a different twist on my usual leopard print mani, so attempted to recreate it.

The flash on this camera washed the colour out but it shows the glitter up better

Products used
Rimmel Rose Libertine (base colour)
Nails Inc London Nights (leopard print)
Collection 2000 Sparkle Top Coat (on the tips)
Rimmel Lycra Pro Clearly Clear (top coat to seal the polish)
Dotting tool (to do the leopard print)

I got heaps of compliments on my nails whilst I was in London :) From Benefit babes, to some randomer selling soap, to Harrods sales assistants. Win.

Review: Lovea Tahitian Monoi Moisturising Body Lotion

Hiya :)

This is the other item to be reviewed from My Pure. It's a body moisturising milk from French brand, Lovea. To see what I thought, keep on reading :)

Product

Lovea say: Lovea Bio meets all the needs of normal skin. Sulfate free, paraben free and phthalate free.

I say: Another moisturiser to add to my collection. This is getting out of control haha! I was immensely pleased with the packaging - a locking pump. Yay! This means I could control how much product I used which is handy, and keep it locked so I didn't accidentally waste any.

Application

Lovea say: Moisturises the upper layers of the skin

I say: I have to say that personally I was not keen on this moisturiser. It was a rather thin consistency, which I don't like in a moisturiser. I also hated the scent. I can't quite put my finger on what it was, but it definitely wasn't a scent for me. I found that it did moisturise my skin but not as well as my current moisturiser, in that it doesn't really seem to lock in the moisture. However, that is my personal preference and opinion, remember you may love the scent and consistency. Each to their own and all that jazz :)

Loving & Loathing

Hello petals :)

Deary me, I'm a day late doing this. Everything has been so hectic since coming home from London! I hope you've all had a fab week!

Loving
* LONDON TOWN :D
* Going to Harrods. OH. EM. GEE. WOW.
* Seeing Rhod Gilbert in the aforementioned store.
* Mastering the art of catching the tube
* The Absolut Ice Bar & Below Zero Restaurant in London
* Sexy Cedric ;)
* Getting lots of compliments on my nails
* Buskers

Loathing
* Having to come home from London
* Pushy sales assistants
* Annoying people who have conversations in the middle of the street/tube platform/entrance to the tube etc etc - move out of the way you fools
* Incredibly tired, aching feet every day we were in London - I swear we walked the equivalent of the London marathon every day!

Review: A'kin Jojoba & Lavender Light Conditioner

Hiya :)

I've been wanting to start using more natural products in my skin and hair care routines lately, so I joined the My Pure blogging panel. I received my first parcel a few weeks ago. First up to be reviewed is the Jojoba & Lavender Light Conditioner from Australian brand, A'kin. To see what I thought, keep on reading :)

Product

A'kin say: Certified organic lavender flower extract combined with cold pressed Australian jojoba provides light conditioning and natural lustre whilst improving the vigour of your hair and scalp. Your hair will have body, be silky soft, shiny and manageable. All A'kin products are free from sulfates, ethoxylates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrochemical cleansers, silicones, phthalates, DEA & artificial colours. A'kin products are ingredient rich, vegan, 100% natural botanical aromatherapy & formulated without animal ingredients or animal testing.

I say: I've been in search of a good conditioner for an absolute age, so I was pretty pleased when this arrived. I hate using heavy conditioners on my hair as they just weigh it down and don't really do anything for me. I was intrigued how a natural conditioner would compare against the usual high street brands. I've been using this every other day for a few weeks now and I have to say I quite like it. It smells nice and does exactly what it says on the bottle. It did make my hair a bit more knotted to start with, but this is explained on the website.

Application

A'kin say: For normal, fine and oily hair. After using A'kin shampoo, apply A'kin Jojoba & Lavender Light Conditioner massaging gently into the scalp and hair. For oily hair, use on the ends of the hair only. Rinse thoroughly. Style as usual.

I say: I'd class my hair as normal, so this was right up my street. I only ever use conditioner on the ends of my hair. I leave it for a minute or two, then rinse, and either dry or leave it to dry naturally. My hair was left soft and silky. A good addition to your bathroom if you are especially after vegan and/or natural products :)
