Review: James Brown London Gorgeously Rich Moisturising Conditioner

Hiya

Whilst I was in Lincoln last week, I picked up the April copy of Glamour magazine which had a free trial bottle of James Brown London Gorgeously Rich Moisturising Conditioner with it. A chance to try something new for free - fabulous! To see what I thought about it, read on :)

What James Brown London say: There's nothing more seductive than hair with a healthy sheen. That's why I've added murumuru butter and pro-vitamin B5 to this conditioner to nourish the hair to a glossy shimmer. To add to your charms, the fragrance creates an entrancing layering effect. The feminine scent is released with every turn of your head.

What I say: Well, if this is the scent that James Brown and Kate Moss came up with (yes it's the result of their professional partnership) then I have to say they have a nose, and the stomach, for stronger scents. I think this conditioner smells like a really strong, vile, men's aftershave. Yuck. If you can't stand heavily scented products then I'd give this a miss.

Application

What James Brown London say: Apply from mid-lengths to tips or where hair is excessively dry. Leave for 2 minutes to hydrate hair. Rinse thoroughly.

What I say: After following the instructions, I'm left with beautifully soft, silky hair that's manageable. I found after blow-drying it stayed pretty sleek and soft. Usually my hair resembles some wild untamed creature when blow dried, but not this time. Thumbs up from me :)

  1. I did, I used it this morning! Having relaxed afro hair, it's usually light, fluffy and soft and this only emphasised that. My hair was a nightmare to straighten and it's beyond soft and ridiculously fly away. I think this would be great for someone with greasy hair but as I need the excess grease on my hair I think I'll stick to heavier conditioners.

  3. I got the conditioner too. I wanted the treatment but there was only one Glamour left in the store. Like the time I went to get the issue with the free Benefit mascara but someone had taken them all (the mascaras). I buy the magazine anyway but would have liked to try it! Oh well.

  6. I didn't realise either until I'd purchased the mag. They had shampoo/conditioner/hair treatments available. Glad to hear you like it! x
