Review: Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish in Oyster Pink

Hi :)

A few weeks ago when I came home from uni for the weekend, I'd forgotten to bring any nail polish with me (I know, wierd right?!) so I borrowed my Mum's Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish in Oyster Pink. It was love at first application. If you'd like to know why, read on :)

Rimmel say: Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish has a 'revolutionary' wide, flat design engineered to adapt to all nail shapes and provide fast application with easier control for superior shine and wear. Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish has a Lycra formula enriched with UV protection to deliver super-durable, chip-resistant and fade-proof colour for up to 10 days. Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish gives you professional polished nails at your fingertips!

I say: Love, love, love this product. Great colour, amazing brush, long lasting! Erm since when did nail polish ever fade anyway? :S I also like the fact that the bottle has those little silver balls in so it mixes the polish up when you give it a shake. Why can't high end nail polish brands include these?

Application

Rimmel say: Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish features a 'breakthrough' Maxi Brush that makes application so simple. It's time to brush up your skills and polish your look.

I say: I absolutely adore the brush that comes with this polish!  It's nice and wide so one stroke coats your whole nail. Well, except for the thumbnails but I guess that's to be expected. This makes nail polish application quicker, easier and tidier. Win! I get a great streak-free application. I've only tried Oyster Pink, but I'm definitely thinking about adding some of the other shades to my collection, particularly the clear polish as I think this would be immensely useful when topcoating konadicures so that the Konad polish doesn't drag or come off. Other nail polish brands should take note and follow Rimmel's lead. Yes I'm talking to you Nails Inc!

Price: £4.49 or currently 2 for £6!
Size: 12ml

  1. Love this kind of brushes! Wondering why so many nail polish companies still carry those stubborn "sharp angled" brushes! :/ Do you happen to know if these polishes are "Big 3 free"?

  4. I love the colour range of these but they refuse to stick to my nails, which is something that never happens with other brands...very odd!
