Review: Kryolan Anti-Shine Powder

Hello sunbeams!

If you saw my May Favourites post, you'll see that one of my current favourite products is Kryolan's Anti-Shine Powder. I find powdering my T-zone on a regular basis somewhat tiresome, so I decided who better to turn to than Kryolan - the stage and TV makeup experts.

Kryolan say: Anti-shine Powder finishes the make-up and gives a natural matte appearance. Ideal for long lasting touch up even after hours of setting the make-up without changing it.

I say: I use a very light dusting of this over my makeup and it mattifies my T-zone brilliantly. It lasts all day. And I mean all day. I can put this on at 6am and it'll last until late at night, and I've found it's torrential rain proof. No touch ups required.

Kryolan say: Anti-Shine Powder is colorless and is especially effective for the additional matting effects that become necessary during long shooting sessions. Anti-Shine Powder prevents unwanted dull effects and creates a pleasant feeling on the skin.

I say: Obviously this is a product for professionals, and I can certainly see why. It does exactly what it says and leaves me with flawless make up all day. Whilst the powder is white, a light dusting does not alter the colour of my makeup at all and it leaves my face feeling silky soft and smooth and prevents transfer which is another bonus.

  1. I need this! It sounds just like my kind of powder! Have never tried Kryolan but I always hear good things about it! :)

  2. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this review.

I'm going to get this powder, like, NOW.

My face is always so oily/shiny and it's so-so annoying (I've tried HUNDREDS of products) - really hope this will work :-P

  3. Great! Thanks for the review. I'm already considering buying this thing. =) What do you use to apply it?

  4. I definitely want to try this stuff, debated buying it in the past but I have a 30g pot of the regular Kryolan powder...and I've been using it for almost 3 years :S So I guess I'll buy this powder in approximately 2014 haha :)

  5. This looks like something I really need.. My favourite powder was a Rimmel one but it got discontinued and I've been looking for a replacement for ages now xx

  6. I'm going to add this to my 'to buy' list thanks for sharing! x

  7. It was really nice to see this review 'cause I love Kryolan powders (and I would love to try other products too). I have Anti-Shine and Translucent Powder. Anti-Shine really keeps you shine free the whole day. I have *really* oily skin and I usually need only 1 touch up during the day. But it can be a bit drying on me (especially during winter so I alter between Translucent and Anti-Shine).

  8. After reading your May Favourites post I ordered this the other day. This just makes me even more glad I did it! Can't wait for it to get here. xx

  9. Natalie - It's a God send! I definitely recommend Kryolan, their foundation is amazing and their powder is just beyond words! xxx

Miss A - You're very welcome! I bet it will! xxx

Nihrida - You're welcome! I use my Body Shop Face & Body Brush xxx

Lily - I bought this and the translucent powder and I don't need the latter ha. Guess it will be good for travelling though. Omg wow really? Talk about value for money! xxx

Abbie - I definitely recommend it :) xxx

    Karla - You're welcome :) xxx

Tiahaar - I've got both of them too. I guess I'll see how it fares when Winter rolls back around xxx

Madita - Oh wow! I bet you'll love it, it's perfect xxx

  10. This stuff sounds amazing! I hate having to reapply powder too, it's so annoying. Will definitely be putting in an order for this once my current powder runs out!

  11. It is, I kid you not. I'd definitely recommend it! xxx

  12. Ugh I'll have to try this out...sounds amazing:)
