Review: Kryolan Anti-Shine Powder

Hello sunbeams!

If you saw my May Favourites post, you'll see that one of my current favourite products is Kryolan's Anti-Shine Powder. I find powdering my T-zone on a regular basis somewhat tiresome, so I decided who better to turn to than Kryolan - the stage and TV makeup experts.

Product

Kryolan say: Anti-shine Powder finishes the make-up and gives a natural matte appearance. Ideal for long lasting touch up even after hours of setting the make-up without changing it.

I say: I use a very light dusting of this over my makeup and it mattifies my T-zone brilliantly. It lasts all day. And I mean all day. I can put this on at 6am and it'll last until late at night, and I've found it's torrential rain proof. No touch ups required.

Application

Kryolan say: Anti-Shine Powder is colorless and is especially effective for the additional matting effects that become necessary during long shooting sessions. Anti-Shine Powder prevents unwanted dull effects and creates a pleasant feeling on the skin.

I say: Obviously this is a product for professionals, and I can certainly see why. It does exactly what it says and leaves me with flawless make up all day. Whilst the powder is white, a light dusting does not alter the colour of my makeup at all and it leaves my face feeling silky soft and smooth and prevents transfer which is another bonus.

My face is always so oily/shiny and it's so-so annoying (I've tried HUNDREDS of products) - really hope this will work :-P

  4. I definitely want to try this stuff, debated buying it in the past but I have a 30g pot of the regular Kryolan powder...and I've been using it for almost 3 years :S So I guess I'll buy this powder in approximately 2014 haha :)

  7. It was really nice to see this review 'cause I love Kryolan powders (and I would love to try other products too). I have Anti-Shine and Translucent Powder. Anti-Shine really keeps you shine free the whole day. I have *really* oily skin and I usually need only 1 touch up during the day. But it can be a bit drying on me (especially during winter so I alter between Translucent and Anti-Shine).
