Review: Tesco Vitamin E Toner

Hello lovelies!

I bought this a few weeks ago with my Tesco order as I'd run out of toner and didn't have the chance to go into town. I'd heard a lot of good things about the Tesco Vitamin E skincare range so I thought I'd give it a go. To see what I thought, keep on reading :)

What Tesco sayCleanses and Tones. Dermatologically tested. Paraben Free. pH Balanced. Toner with Vitamin E. This range has been enriched with Vitamin E for its antioxidant, protecting and conditioning properties to care for your skin. This refreshing formulation will remove the last traces of cleanser and make-up to leave your skin feeling fresh and toned.

What I say: I thought this sounded pretty good to start off with. I mean why pay a lot more for a product that would have the same benefits? Then again, that's the student scrooge within me ;P I agree that this product does cleanse and tone, my skin felt nice and refreshed after use. The one thing that I would say is if you have sensitive eyes, do not buy this product. Obviously, you're not meant to put this in your eyes, and the bottle carries a warning to this effect. I didn't put it in my eyes, I didn't even put it near my eyes, yet they stung like hell after using it. So that's a thumbs down from me. Sorry Tesco.

Application

What Tesco sayApply a small amount of toner to a cotton pad and wipe the face after cleansing or as a skin refresher during the day. Complete your skincare regime with other products from the Vitamin E range.

What I say: The one thing I disliked about this product (apart from the OWWW MY EYES thing) was the packaging. It's just a screw top lid with quite a large neck on the bottle really. It could have done with one of those squeezy hole thingys - you know the ones I mean I'm sure. That's my only issue with it. As long as you're careful when applying it to a cotton pad, i.e. place cotton pad over neck of the bottle then gently tip the bottle up to get some product, you'll be fine. I love the smell of this product, it's gorgeous and doesn't smell chemically like some I've used in the past. Thumbs up.

  1. I got the Eye Makeup Remover from this range yesterday and so far I really like it. Can't go wrong for 72p either! I want to try the scrub and the moisturising creams too!
