I am soooo excited. I'm going to IMATS in January!!!

To give you a bit of background, here's what the website has to say:
"The International Make-Up Artist Trade Show is the make-up world’s biggest gathering. Thousands of make-up artists, vendors and enthusiasts discuss, display and collect the best the industry has to offer. Make-up pros from fashion and film (including Oscar, BAFTA and Saturn award winners) provide education and demonstrations at IMATS, and new products often debut there. IMATS also features a make-up museum and an Afterglow party, where trade-show guests can socialize."
Doesn't it sound fab?
In 2011, IMATS is here for two days - the 29th and 30th of January - at the Alexandra Palace in London.
I couldn't make it to the 2010 show due to uni commitments, and I heard it was really really good, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to the 2011 show. I'm looking forward to meeting lots of bloggers in the flesh and having a brilliant time browsing and shopping.
In particular I'm looking forward to seeing the following brands:
Charles Fox - Ever since Leanne raved about the Charles Fox shop to me, I've wanted to go and check out their wares!
Crown Brush - I'm always on the look out for more make up brushes, and I've heard such good things about Crown Brush, that I'll make sure to stop by their stand.
Guru Makeup Emporium - UK stockists of Make Up For Ever, a brand I definitely want to try more of.
Inglot - Another brand that I'd love to try but isn't the most accessible unless you live in/near London. I visited their store when I was in Westfields but didn't buy anything - now's my chance to rectify that!
MAC - Need I say more?
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - I really want to try their lip tars and what better opportunity than to see them on display?
Sleek Makeup - I don't have a decent Sleek stand near me so I'll definitely be picking up a few things from them.
Of course, that is just a handful of the many exhibitors booked for IMATS. You can see which other brands will be exhibiting here.
There's a schedule of some brilliant looking talks from lots of different brands and make up artists, including MAC, Eve Pearl, OCC, and YouTube sensation Lauren Luke.

fingers crossed ill be there! i couldnt go this year for the same reasons but really hoping i will be there next year!! need to save up ready to spend :P xx

ReplyDeleteI really want to go, it's right after my first 3rd year exam so would be a bit of a trea.t Not sure what day I'd go on though or who I'd go with haha!
