Day Four: Favourite Book

Hi dears :)

The next part of the 30 Days tag is to divulge to you my favourite book.

I've always been an avid reader, more so when I was younger than now just because sixth form and uni took over my life! I'll read pretty much anything, fiction, non fiction, autobiographies, classic novels etc. I used to love it back in high school when we had to read. I think I got through more books than anybody else! Then there were the books that I would never have read had it not been for English - Pride & Prejudice, Shakespeare, An Inspector Calls and To Kill A Mockingbird anybody?

Now I have to pick my favourite... decisions, decisions!!

I think overall, my favourite book would have to be Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian. It's a book I've read quite a few times, and I absolutely adore the TV adaptation - it's often on ITV3 on a weekend - well worth checking out if you haven't already :) You will need a box of Kleenex though!

Have you ever read this? What did you think?

  3. No, I haven't read this. This came out well after my childhood was over. More the sort of thing I would have read to my own children but I didn't.
I'm a big psychological thriller fan. But Dickens rules my roost. I'm in the middle of a Dickens re-read. Just refinished Chuzzlewit. Pickwick Papers next or Dombey & Son. Maybe Hard Times.
